History

Fairfield Baptist Church

In the summer of 1990, Pastor Jim Daniel and his family moved into the new Fairfield subdivision in order to start a new church.  With financial support from Sagemont Church and Houston Northwest Baptist Church, Fairfield Baptist Church was launched on Sunday morning, August 12, 1990, in the Fairfield Athletic Club.

Within three years, the church had grown to an average attendance of 125 and it had outgrown its temporary home.  After a long search, Fairfield Baptist purchased five acres of land on Highway 290 for $150,000 in 1993 and began building a new worship center to enhance the ministry to the community.

Construction on the worship center was completed in August 1995 with a seating capacity of 250 (this facility was renovated in 2003 to its current capacity of 425), and with the new building in a visible and accessible location, Fairfield Baptist experienced rapid growth over the next several years. A second service was added and Daron Adkison was called to serve as youth pastor.  Within several years, a Worship Pastor and Children's Pastor were brought on board, a new Student Pastor was hired and an Executive Pastor position was created.  Today, Fairfield Baptist has seven full time pastoral staff members and three support staff.

In 2007, a 40,000 square foot education building was completed.  This has given the church an outstanding facility for ministry to children, students and adults.  In 2011, construction was completed on a new 700+ seat Worship Center with office space.  The former Sanctuary building has been converted into a Student  building for grades 7-12.

God has been good to FBC through the years and we anxiously await what He will do in the days ahead!  We want to invite you to join us on this excting adventure!  New chapters are being written daily and we would love for you to play a central role!
