"Houston, we are ready for launch..."

In the summer of 1990, Pastor Jim Daniel moved his family to the far outskirts of Houston, a new housing development called Fairfield. With prayerful financial backing from Sagemont Church and Houston Northwest Baptist Church, Pastor Jim planted our very own Fairfield Baptist Church.

We officially launched August 12, 1990, in the Fairfield Athletic Club. Within a short three years we had grown to 125 members and were in need of a new home.

"And they shared everything in kind..."

There is incredible power when the body of believers comes together. In 1993, we purchased five acres along 290 not certain how a building would come to fruition.

Deacon, Randy Evans re-accounts the early stages of construction, "We would meet on the foundation and have prayer meetings. Everyone was contributing."

Randy wasn't exaggerating. The entire framework or our first worship center was constructed by church volunteers. Businesses contributed labor, church members contributed their hands, dollars, and prayers. This was an incredible time of intimacy and growth in our infant stage.

Construction was completed in August of 1995. We had grown to over 250 persons. The next few years were marked by rapid growth.

"It's not the building, but the people..."

Building Christ-centered families starts with personal growth in the Lord. By 2002 our Sunday morning classes were in need of more teaching space. Our church began its second major construction phase by breaking ground on a new Education Center. This building would later become the home of our Student, Children and Adult ministries. Construction was completed in 2007 and incredulously the debt was paid by 2011.

Most recently we have been blessed with a new worship center that will be able to accommodate our growing memberships for Sunday Worship.

In 2015, our church proudly celebrated its 25th anniversary! God has been gracious and faithful and we give Him all our praise.

We hope you will play a role in what God has for us next!
